My Little Pony was an animated series based on the 1983 line of toys. The series, which ran for 65 episodes, was preceded by 2 television specials. This 2-cel setup is from the special “Escape from Catrina” which first aired March 23, 1985. It features Posey and Sparkler, two ponies who both made their first appearance in this special. This cel was also shown in the television series “The Toys That Made Us.”
